Brigadeiros (or Brigadiers, literal translation) is essentially the most beloved ‘candy’ of Brazil – although they're technically chocolate fudge balls. From north to south, it is a national passion! They have been created within the Nineteen Forties, in all probability in São Paulo, and received the name from Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, who once ran for president.
